Doula Services
As a postpartum doula I am here to support you, encourage you, empower you and fill your tool bag. I have been in your shoes and I will never judge you. Relationships are hard at the best of times. Add in sleep deprivation, a new little person to care for, chores, managing a house and a partner that needs sleep because they have to go to work outside of the home. On top of that your parents and family may not be able to help. This can all be overwhelming, and it can leave your village kind of empty.

This is where I can come in; I can help with breastfeeding, from latching to positions, storage and thawing of breast milk, to making sure you are getting enough nutrition to help with making milk. I will also help with practical things like: sterilizing bottles, bathing baby, tips on how to soothe baby, and simple meal prep or throwing a load of laundry in the wash. I am your Mary Poppins, without the flying.
Testimonials
For the birth of our second child, we acquired the support of Anne during the post-partum period. Even though we were ‘experienced’ parents, juggling the constant needs of a newborn and toddler with all of our daily household responsibilities was extremely challenging. On top of this we did not have family support therefore, the support provided by Anne during this transient time was a huge value added. Anne was able to assist with household chores, meal prep, interacting with our newborn daughter and her older brother, as well as providing some adult conversation for me while my husband was at work. I was able to take naps during the day when baby napped, as well as get a few more hours of sleep during the night when baby wasn’t settling. Maternity leave can be quite isolating and having someone come over to take care of me and give me a break was a nice change. This alleviated some of the hardships of being new parents to baby #2, and provided us with the opportunity to spend some quality time with our eldest child as well as each other. Our second child was not a great sleeper and Anne was able to assist in that area as well. She has a breadth of knowledge, expertise and experience in sleep training infants. She has such a kind, empathetic and open approach, treating our children like they are her own. We are so grateful for everything Anne has assisted us with, and wished we had her support with our first child.

Anne was recommended to us by a good friend to coach me with breastfeeding. For my first child I had a difficult time breastfeeding as my milk took a while to come in and Anne’s expertise and experience with breast feeding was a huge support. She assisted me with the latch, positioning, timing and preventing complications such as mastitis and blocked ducts. Being a first-time mom, I had no clue what I was doing, but Anne was right there, helping me and giving me information and suggestions in a non-judgemental and forceful manner. She was a great resource! I honestly think that if it wasn’t for Anne I would have given up on breastfeeding in the first two weeks. She was such great moral support, which helped my husband and I become more confident about our parenting approach. On top of this, Anne was able to assist with the sleep training of my son which helped him sleep through the night at 3 months. This is a huge bonus for a mom who is exhausted and needs rest for her milk supply to come in! Thank you isn’t enough! She is an excellent postpartum doula and has so much experience, knowledge and love to offer. We call her the baby whisperer!
